Infection Control

Cottage Health infection rates are consistently and significantly lower than state and national rate benchmarks at all of our hospitals, including Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH) where the most critically ill patients are treated.

While we are proud of our low infection rates, we recognize that even one hospital-acquired infection is too many. We share our infection rates as part of our commitment to transparency and our pursuit of zero hospital acquired infections.
