MyChart - Text Messaging - Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to anyone who agrees to receive informational text messages (technically known as SMS short code messaging) from Cottage Health or any of its affiliated entities. By signing up to receive text messages, you agree to receive messages related to your relationship with Cottage Health and all of its affiliated entities in the Cottage Health integrated health care delivery system, including, but not limited to, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital, and Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (collectively, the “Hospitals”), Cottage Medical Group (“CMG”), Cottage Clinical Network, LLC (“CCN”), medical and urgent care clinics owned and operated by Cottage Health, the Hospitals, CMG, and CCN, and Cottage Clinical Associates.
Text messages may include updates related to your visits, your MyChart account, one-time passcode, billing notifications, prescription reminders, and care management, among others.
Cottage Health utilizes the following SMS short code: 69037.
You may opt-out of SMS messages by texting STOP to the short code. Your opt-out request will generate one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from the short code. If you would like to join again, you may sign up using your Cottage Health MyChart account or text HELP to the short code for instructions.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply to the short code with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at 805-324-9439.
Text messages between you and Cottage Health may not be encrypted. This means that they may be unsecured and other people could read them. It is important that you keep your mobile phone protected. You should protect your mobile phone with a passcode. Please understand that we are not responsible for the release of personal information once you agree to receive text messages.
Cottage Health does not charge for text messages, but standard message and data rates may apply for any text messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Text message frequency may vary.
If you have questions about your texting and data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider directly. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered text messages.
