Local physicians Dr. Thomas Aguirre, a gastroenterologist, and Dr. Winnie Leung, a breast radiologist, will lead a free bilingual webinar to discuss cancer prevention and guidelines for colon, breast, and other cancer screenings.

This online event on July 28, from 6-7 pm, will be offered in English and Spanish. Participants will receive free by mail a stool-based colon cancer test kit and a bilingual healthy cookbook.

In the United States, colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and in women, according to the American Cancer Society. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers, with one in eight women at risk of developing breast cancer.

Attend the webinar to learn about cancer prevention and early detection. When discovered in the earliest stages, many cancers can be treated effectively.

The event is co-hosted by the Ridley-Tree Cancer Center and Cottage Health.
