Pediatric Outpatient Therapy

Our therapy team provides comprehensive evaluation, personalized intervention and family education within an episodic care model, using goal-driven treatment to empower families and build confidence for improved quality of life.

Cottage Health’s outpatient therapy team addresses a full range of conditions – from developmental and congenital delays to injuries. With expert care, we serve families with diagnoses that include these in addition to many others:

Physical Therapy

• Torticollis and plagiocephaly
• Gross motor delay and developmental coordination disorders
• Toe walking
• Orthopedic conditions
• Bowel and bladder incontinence and constipation

Speech-Language Pathology

• Articulation and speech disorders
• Swallowing abnormalities, including diagnostic swallow studies

Occupational Therapy

• Fine motor skill development
• Mild sensory processing difficulties
• Feeding challenges

Insurance and Referrals

Most insurance plans are accepted. Financial assistance through Cottage Health is available for qualifying families. A physician referral is required for outpatient therapy evaluation and treatment.

Pediatric Inpatient Therapy Services

When a child needs hospital care, the Cottage Health inpatient therapy team is there every step of the way. As part of the team at Cottage Children’s Medical Center, prioritize safe recovery, developmental support and family-centered care from admission to discharge.

At Cottage Children’s Medical Center, we provide highly specialized services in the Pediatrics Department, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including:

• Developmental assessments and early intervention
• Functional movement and self-care training after injury or illness
• Feeding and swallowing assessment and treatment
• Speech, language and cognitive evaluation
