Lisa Jacobs, MD
Lisa grew up in the Bay Area, attended Stanford University for undergraduate then ventured to Southern CA for medical school. After her pediatrics training and chief residency year at UCLA, she moved to Miller Children’s Hospital where she took on the Associate Program Director (APD) role for the UCLA pediatrics residency program as they established a new training site.
With a love for vacationing in Santa Barbara, she jumped at the chance to move there full time by taking the role of APD with the growing Cottage residency program. Her clinical interests include medical education, palliative care/bereavement, and quality improvement on the pediatric ward. Outside of medicine she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young kids as well as entertaining entrepreneurial ideas and interior decorating for friends. She also has gone skydiving three times and was a competitive gymnast growing up.
