Led by Dr. Alexander Hardwick and nurse practitioner Holly Romine, the Cottage Heart Failure Care Clinic is located at 221 W. Pueblo St. in Santa Barbara, within the Cottage Heart & Vascular Center building. Heart failure affects over 6 million Americans, according to the American Heart Association. Recognizing the growing need for specialized care, the Cottage Heart Failure Care Clinic offers patients direct access to a team of providers who deliver individualized support services tailored to each patient’s needs.
Meet the Clinic Leadership
Alexander B. Hardwick, MD
Dr. Alexander Blake Hardwick is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Hardwick pursued his cardiology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Northern California, where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow. Dr. Hardwick is dedicated to advancing patient care through evidence-based medicine and research.
Holly Romine, MSN, AGNP-BC
Holly Romine is a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner specializing in cardiovascular care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and completed a Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship at UC Irvine. Holly has extensive experience in managing acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias and hypertension. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality care tailored to each patient’s unique needs, with a focus on education, prevention and improving long-term health outcomes.
