The Cottage Epilepsy Center is the only dedicated center of its kind between Los Angeles and the Bay Area. A best practice for providing comprehensive treatment is an epilepsy center managed by an epileptologist—a specialist in neurology who is formally trained through an epilepsy fellowship program. Michael Gibbs, MD, MPH, serves as the Medical Director for the Cottage Epilepsy Center with a team of highly-specialized neurologists, neurosurgeons, a neuropsychologist and a dedicated nurse navigator.
