Michael Gibbs, MD, MPH

Michael Gibbs, MD, MPH, is board certified in Neurology and enjoys seeing patients with both common and rare neurologic conditions of all types. He spent two additional years learning to treat complex seizure disorders and is adept at evaluating patients for epilepsy surgery.

He completed a master’s degree in Public Health at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he became interested in understanding factors that determine quality-of- life of patients with neurologic diseases and how to measure it for research studies.

His favorite aspect of medicine is teaching patients about their illness and empowering them to become active participants in their recovery. Dr. Gibbs is firmly devoted to patient-centered care and the idea that each patient is an individual with a unique way of navigating the medical system and coping with illness.

Dr. Gibbs is a former collegiate triathlete and now engages in swimming, cycling and running for fitness.
