We have been dedicated to the most up-to-date, effective and dignified local treatment of mental health, substance use and dual diagnosis disorders since 1995. COPE (Cottage Outpatient Program Experience) Intensive Outpatient Programs and Services
Intensive Outpatient Mental Health
Based on the principle of Behavioral Therapies, the Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program provides skills-based group psychotherapy, family education, individual case management and daily structure. Treatment includes psychotherapy, symptom management, education, monitoring of medication compliance and enhancement of the patient’s ability to engage in activities related to daily living.
Intensive Outpatient Substance Use Disorder
Our substance use disorders treatment program provides psychoeducation, group therapy and multi-family group therapy facilitated by licensed clinicians.
Intensive Outpatient Dual Diagnosis
Our dual diagnosis treatment is a specialized program offering a combination of mental health and substance use disorder treatment services.
In Person & Virtual Services
We offer both in person and virtual services for those that qualify.
Our ability to provide rehabilitation and treatment in an outpatient setting helps ensure a speedy return to the job for individuals who are required to undergo treatment.
Additional Information
We accept TRICARE, TRICARE West, and most private insurances. We offer self-pay rates and payment plans.

COPE intensive Outpatient Programs are part of not-for-profit Cottage Health, which is comprised of three acute care hospitals in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and the Santa Ynez Valley. Cottage Outpatient Center is licensed by the State of California Department of Healthcare Services and accredited by the Joint Commission.
